Yeah the Broncos lost. What can you do? The Steelers played better. Where were the Broncos? It’d be easy to blame it all on Plummer, but it takes a team to win, so it must take a team to lose too. Clearly Pittsburgh is the stronger team, so I’ll be rooting for them in the Superbowl (party at our place, 3:30, come on by!). I’m still thrilled the Pats aren’t in (sorry Chris).
It’s chilly here, which makes it less than pleasant for walking. I have to make it to the post office this week, though I don’t know when I’ll get the chance, Too cold to walk that far, plus Elijah has another cold. Poor kid has a runny nose, and he’s not sleeping nearly enough (for naps or at night). So my plans for this week are to organize, and maybe get around to making Honey’s appointment to see the vet. We want to switch to a new vet, one that is closer. We weren’t overly attached to the other place, so it’s not a big deal. Sure wish we could still see Dr. Jen. 🙂
I got a cork board/magnetic board for the loft/office. Now I can put up more pics, notes to myself, and things to remember. I’m pretty happy. I have 3 pics up currently, Laurel & Brooke’s Christmas pic, Geoff & I at Disneyland (2003), and Cate & Kaisara by a hobbit hole.
I finished one of the books I got for Christmas! It was Canuck Chicks & Maple Leaf Mamas (from Meghan & Mike). It was okay, the first half of the book is about the kooky stuff women were told about marriage, sex, and life. The second half was a look at famous Canadian women. Probably only an entertaining read if you are a Canadian woman. The next book I think I’ll tackle is Beauty Tips From Moose Jaw, by one of my favorite authors, Will Ferguson. (Athena, seriously consider doing a book club thing with me on this book!) I may even think about reading some of the fiction I got for Christmas.
Anyways, I’ll close with a quote from Two Weeks Notice.
Lucy Kelson: George, I have an ulcer, I don’t sleep well, mostly because you keep calling me in the middle of the night, and if you dont call me I dream that you’re gonna call me. I think about you in the shower
[George gives her a look]
Lucy Kelson: … not in a good way, but in an I’m-so-distracted-I-can’t-remember-if-I-washed-my-hair kinda way – so I’ll wash my hair twice! So I have a hole in my stomach, I’m running out of shampoo and today is the first day in my life that I did not give a thousand percent on the job. And I hate that feeling.
